residents protest howell leadership
Jason Woolford held a little publicity stunt to recognize Howell leadership’s work on the city’s image. Some Howell residents didn’t appreciate it. There were many questions asked about the silent protest and great conversation with those passing by about why it’s futile to waste tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to try and rebrand the town from its “racist reputation” when the underlying issue of wyt supremacy isn’t addressed. These are the FACTS:
-A recently reformed local K K K leader has stated clearly that we do have a problem here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1HARK2fa1z/?mibextid=wwXIfr
-A Hollywood documentary exposes the active white supremacy movement in LivCo. It’s mandatory homework for you to watch this if you haven't seen it yet! https://youtu.be/hgySmmUGR0k?si=aBq3G9cy_NdxWO-b
-There has been no other county in the entire state that has had the frequency of hate eruptions as we have. Neo-Nazis have felt welcomed to demonstrate in our community at least 6 documented times over a 7 month period this past year (multiple in Howell, one in Brighton and one in Fowlerville). Many times these hate instances made national news, one incident even made worldwide news. This is not normal.
-Livingston County has two of its rural school districts, Pinckney https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1B3N8iGmUC/ and Hartland https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1C2JauPDeo/ currently in lawsuits for their kids experiencing severe, unchecked rampant racism in the schools. 2/ 5 school districts in Livingston Co. are currently being sued for racism right now. None of this is normal. This is definitely not a "reputation issue”
-Local law enforcement and city officials literally protect the neo-Nazis. They have stated that they know their identities, but then refuse to share with the public. This is because it goes against their narrative that they are all “outsiders”. Multiple losers doing these protests are indeed locals: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1JKpL4gp9E/
I could go on, but I think you get the point of this silent demonstration during Woolford’s little event. Fun video in the comments of Woolford having to tell the audience to clap for City Manager Erv Suida who has done enough damage to the City of Howell’s reputation on the state and national stage. Luckily Suida is stepping down!
